Welcome Back!! This year I am supporting CPCS as a whole and more specifically, the middle school. Here is what my students & I are up to….

Information Technology Class (Algebra students 6th & 7th grades) –

            Step 1 is making sure all students know how to type properly. We started off using a typing program called Typing Pro and have moved on to keyboarding practice through other websites such as:
 Since the students are at all different levels, I am letting them choose their lessons and then will do weekly typing tests to see how everyone is progressing and if there are any common problem areas. 
            This year we are also going to learn about Internet Safety! When we get into this section, I will be sending home information for parents about helpful tips. I will also post it on my website.
            As you already know, the 6th & 7th graders are developing a student service project during their Integrated Project class. Each student is a part of a small group with a mentor teacher. My I.T. class will use their computer lab time to do any research or document their project progress.
 
Middle School Integrated Projects - 
            I am so excited to be an Advisor Teacher for a group of eight students that will be delving into their first Student Service Learning Project! We have been outlining the steps and brainstorming ideas! I hope that they are excited! I am! Below is a list of websites that have some great ideas!
