CPCS is so excited to welcome Karen Antonacio-Oliver to our community!

The Board of Education appointed Ms. Karen Antonacio-Oliver on June 24th to the position of Academic Dean. This position will assist our Education Director at the Chesapeake Public Charter School. The Academic Dean position is a new position created for the 09-10 school year.
Ms. Antonacio-Oliver currently serves as an instructional resource teacher at Lettie Marshall Dent Elementary School. She began her career in education in 1991 as an elementary classroom teacher at George Washington Carver and Hollywood Elementary Schools. Since that time, she has also served as a facilitator for the Maryland State Department of Education’s (MSDE) International Artist Teacher Exchange and Maryland Artist Teacher Institute.
Ms. Antonacio-Oliver earned a Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from McDaniel College and a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Gwynedd Mercy College, in Gwynedd, PA.
