SMCPS School Library  Media Program

The mission of the St. Mary’s County Public Schools Library Media Program is to foster development of effective, ethical use of information and ideas, while advocating life-long reading and learning habits  by providing instruction, resources, and services to our students, staff, and community.

Dynard Elementary Library Media Program

Dynard students have scheduled media class once per week.  They may also come for book check in the mornings with the permission of their homeroom teacher. Students are encouraged to select materials that are age appropriate and of interest to them.  Our goal is to develop a love of lifelong reading and learning.

Check-out Policies

Students receive a letter at the beginning of the school year explaining the Media Center policies regarding lost or damaged books. All grades discuss responsibility and book care. A copy of the letter appears below.
