The Maryland State Department of Education has published new resources to help parents become familiar with the new state assessment known as PARCC, which many Maryland students in grades three through high school will begin taking in March. PARCC will help us measure students' progress toward grade-level mastery as well as graduation. Feel free to share these resources with parents, educators, and students.
You may also sign up for updates on PARCC and other topics of interest here.
Speak Up, a national online research project facilitated by Project Tomorrow®, gives individuals the opportunity to share their viewpoints about key educational issues, particularly concerning 21st century education and technology. Each year, findings are summarized and shared with national and state policy makers. Participating schools and districts can access their data online, free-of-charge in February 2015.
