Esperanza Middle

A Message From the Principal

Dear Esperanza Students, Parents & Guardians,

Welcome Back Everyone! It is always an incredible feeling of energy and enthusiasm as we kick off a new school year, and this year is not different. This summer gave us the perfect opportunity to reexamine our instructional practices, policies and procedures. We used the summer to look critically at all we do, and ensure that all of our decisions and actions are in the best interests of students, and promote academic achievement. Now, as we open the doors to our students once again, we feel recharged and ready to meet their academic, social, and emotional needs.

Last year, we as a staff and student body were very focused in our instructional programs and interventions. Our motto became “Shine in '09”. I am pleased to report that upon reviewing our MSA scores that Esperanza has much to celebrate! The data validates the hard work and continuous progress demonstrated by our students. This outstanding achievement should be recognized and celebrated by staff, students and families. Additionally, key areas have been identified to assist us with refining our instructional focus for the 2009-2010 schoolyear.

Analysis of this valuable report provides us with the opportunity to recognize our 2009 achievements.
