NEW USA TODAY LESSON PLANS FOR NATIONAL CYBER SECURITY AWARENESS MONTH - OCTOBER 2008
Friends – Once again the Maryland State Department of Education, Instructional Technology and School Library Media Program has partnered with the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) in the development of materials for National Cyber Security Awareness Month. USA Today Lessons Plans, brought to you by the Department of Homeland Security and National Cyber Security Alliance. (http://www.usatoday.com/educate/cybersecurity/index.html) During National Cyber Security Awareness Month, and all year round, we're asking educators to teach about cyber security. To make it easier for educators, NCSA teamed up with USA Today Education Foundation and the Department of Homeland Security to develop four topical lesson plans. These lesson plans are targeted to 8th through 12th grade. Resources for elementary and middle school teachers are available at www.staysafeonline.org as well as on the USA Today Cyber Security education page.
