National Art Honor SocietyNational Art Honor SocietyNext Mandatory Meeting [February 12] The society will be selling handcrafted earrings and cards during the week before Valentine's Day, 2/9 - 2/13. They will be priced between $12 and $20, and several are made with sterling silver or pearls. Help sponsor the society in raising money for a trip to NYC in the spring to visit art museums and see a broadway show. Ask an NAHS member or Ms. Lewis to purchase. The objective of our society is to bring art back into the school and community. Our society is also raising money for a trip to New York City at the end of the year.
Important Dates... February 2-13: Hand-made jewelry and card sale for students, faculty, and public. March 5: NAHS Initiation. [more information coming soon] April 25: New York Field Trip
When we meet... The society meets every Thursday. The first Thursday of the month is a mandatory business meeting. If there is no school or early dismissal on the first Thursday of a month, than the mandatory meeting will be on the following Thursday. The other Thursdays of the month are art/activity days.
Requirements... Students must maintain a 3.0 grade point average in all classes to maintain National Art Honor Society status. They also must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior who has taken or is taking a fine arts class. |
