         Photography

           During the 1st quarter students have begun learning camera settings and shooting film for "Composition" & "Selective focus/Camera Angles" assignments. They are learning to develop film, and process prints in the darkroom. During the week of October 19th, they will begin learning PHOTOSHOP and working with lessons from "Adobe Photoshop: Classroom in a Book". After working through a variety of lessons, students will apply what they have learned to their own photographs using the ADOBE PHOTOSHOP 7 computer program. This will coincide with students completing their prints in the darkroom. Photographic shooting assignments are done as homework assignments. Film is due by the given deadline for each assignment. Points will be deducted daily from the grade if not completed by the deadline.

      Art 1

          Students in Art 1 will be learning the Art Elements (Line, Shape, Form, Color, Value,& Texture) during the 1st semester and creating related works of art. They will be using the text "Art Talk" to learn concepts related to each element and then creating a project to apply the knowledge gained. During the 1st quarter, students will be working with the Art Elements of LINE, SHAPE & FORM. The Art Elements of COLOR, VALUE & TEXTURE will be addressed during the 2nd quarter. Students will experience methods of drawing, painting & sculpture as well as learn techniques with a variety of media.

All students enrolled in Art will need to pay a $25 art fee to pay for supplies & materials!
