Volunteerism is alive and well here at Great Mills High School. Currently we have parent volunteers who tutor and mentor students after school, participate in booster organizations and serve as members of the PTA. Athletic, Band and Choral booster organizations exist solely for the purpose of supporting and fundraising for these programs. The PTA is always looking for parents who are interested in helping with PTA sponsored special events held here at the school. This year these special events are Hornet Culture Day in mid-April and the Adult Spelling Bee on March 25^th at 6 pm in the school auditorium. The PTA and all booster groups meet monthly (see schedule below). If you are interested in joining the PTA contact Kathryn Bodgan at kmbogdan@smcps.org or just attend an upcoming meeting. If you are interested in serving as a tutor or mentor in our after school program contact Mrs. Connie Garvin, Assistant Principal at 301-863-4001, x 113 or at ckgarvin@smcps.org to begin the volunteer application process.

PTA/Booster Meeting Schedule

 

The PTA meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6 pm in the school media center.

 

The Athletic Booster organization meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 pm in the school media center.
