Volunteering at HES
SMCPS is fortunate to have volunteers in our schools and offices. These individuals, at the request of the school system and under the direct supervision of a principal/site administrator or designated staff, contribute to student success and reinforce the values of education. All volunteers must complete the SMCPS Volunteer Application process. All volunteers working with children at HES should attend the HES Volunteer Orientation Training annually prior to volunteering in the school.
HES Volunteer Training will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 7:20pm during Back to School Night. The HES Volunteer Training will also be offered on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 9:00am and at 2:00pm.
Message from the Principal
We are excited about the beginning of a new school year. Our new parent handbook includes our vision and goals of partnership, safe and orderly school environment, and achievement. It also includes information on school policies and procedures. We hope that you will find it helpful as a reference for the questions you have now and will have throughout the year. Please become familiar with its contents and complete and return the colored copies of the current information sheet and the Use of Students in Public Information Programs (located at the end of this packet) as quickly as possible.
