HOURS OF OPERATION:

In-Session Office Hours 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Grades K-5: 8:40 a.m. to 3:25 p.m.
AM Pre-K: 8:40 a.m. to 11:25 a.m.
PM Pre-K: 12:40 p.m. to 3:25
Early Dismissal Time is 1:25 p.m.
  
 
PTA BACK TO SCHOOL MEETING: Our PTA Back to School Meeting will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. til 7:30 p.m. This purpose of this meeting is for parents and guardians to receive information from the principal, PTA Executive Board, and view curriculum documents and materials of instruction within the classroom.  We look forward to seeing parents and guardians at this meeting. 
 
PTA BRUSTER'S SCOOPER NIGHT!
Come and join the LES staff and PTA at Bruster's on Sept. 15th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and help Mrs. Eichel celebrate her birthday!  LES staff members and PTA members will be working behind the Bruster's counter and we want to serve you some ice cream.  The PTA receives a portion of all sales during this time, so come on out, have some ice cream and wish Mrs. Eichel a Happy Birthday!

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION:

Registration for 2010-2011 incoming kindergarten students opens April 15th and continues through the summer.  Please call the school office for times and more information.  You can also visit the following link for specific registration details.
 

WAY TO GO LES TEAMS!!!

Congratulations to all of our LES Teams this year.  Their hard work and dedication is very apparent in the results they have obtained.  We are extremely proud of all of them!!
  • SMECO Computer Bowl LES Osprey 1 placed 1st in the county and 2nd overall tri-county results
  • SMECO Computer Bowl LES Osprey 2 placed 2nd in the county and 5th overall tri-county results
  • Destination Imagination LES Peace Peeps placed 1st at the Regional Competition and they also placed 13th out of 78 teams in the Global Competition in Tennessee.
  • Destination Imagination LES Smarties placed 2nd and now both teams will go to the State Competition on April 10th at UMBC
  • Robotics Club LES Oyster Savers placed 3rd in Teamwork & Technical Knowledge and 8th overall
  • Robotics Club LES Horseshoes placed 9th overall and now both teams will go to the finals on April 10th at the College of Southern Maryland, LaPlata Campus

The LES Peace Peeps were recognized at the SMCPS Board of Education Meeting for winning the State Destination Imagination Competition held at University of Maryland, Baltimore County on April 10, 2010.  The team place 13th in the Global competition held at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.  We are very proud of them!
