PTA Mission

-  To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before government bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
 -  To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children, and;
 -  To encourange parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

PTA General Meeting Dates
 
Meetings will be held at 6:30 PM before school dances.  Location TBA.

School Dances
 
Dances will be from 7-9 PM in the school cafeteria/gym.  Tickets will be sold for $5 during school hours and children will receive a bracelet to enter the dance.  Permission slips must be signed for each dance in order for children to participate.  If you would like to chaperone the dances please make sure you have a valid volunteer ID.  Forms for IDs can be pick up in the front office or downloaded from thesmcps.org website and turned into the front office along with a copy of a valid drivers license.
