Relay for Life
At Relay For Life events, communities across the globe come together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. The funds you raise truly make a difference in the fight against cancer just ask one of the nearly 14 million cancer survivors who will celebrate another birthday this year!
Relay For Life teams camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around a track or path at a local high school, park, or fairground. Events are up to 24 hours long, and because cancer never sleeps, each team is asked to have at least one participant on the track at all times. The Ridge Moonwakers will be participating June 4, 2016. Click here for more information on supporting our team.

Congratulations go to both of our Robotics Teams for their accomplishments at the Regional Tournament on Saturday Jan 30th. Both teams earned spots to advance to the State Competition on Feb 20 in Towson. Team RES ATMO was one of the two top Alliance Partners and won the Teamwork Champion Award. They also received the Build Award (although not a state qualifying award, still very impressive). Team RES Rock and Roll Rockets won two awards (both state qualifying) Programming Skills and the Excellence Award (highest award given / overall performance in all areas). RES took home 3 of the 6 possible awards ... impressive when you consider there were 29 teams (middle and elementary) that they had to compete against. At regional level, there is no distinction between Middle and Elementary with the exception of the Excellence award ... they give one to the top ES and one to the top MS.
