To the Parents/Guardians of St. Mary's County Students:
Please help us give your children their most important school supply.....and it is FREE....their own St. Mary's County Library card!
Your library and your child's school are working together so that every child can have their own St. Mary's County Library card. If your child does not have his or her own card, please complete the application. Note that the application is required to be signed by you, the parent or guardian. Thank you!
Please have your child return the application to the school Media Specialist. The Media Specialist will then send the application to the library for processing and the new library card will be issued to your child in their school's Media Center.
A St. Mary's County Library card gives your children access to the many resources at their local library 7 days a week....the Lexington Park Library is now open on Sundays from 1 to 5 PM.....and it gives them access to the online databases at the library's Internet Branch: www.stmalib.org. Please help your children become enthusiastic lifelong learners by making frequent visits to your community library.
By the way, if you, or any other members of your family, don't have a card, please stop by any one of the St. Mary's County Library branches and get one.....all you need to bring is proof of your current address. The St. Mary's County Library staff is looking forward to seeing your family at your library!
Sincerely,
Kathleen Reif, Director St. Mary's County Library
