Congratulations to Ms. Settle, who has been named a national Healthy School Hero Award winner by Action for Healthy Kids (AFHK) for her work to fight childhood obesity and improve children’s health and readiness to learn. She is just one of thirteen individuals chosen from across the country. This is an outstanding achievement!

Welcome Letter From the Principal
Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year at Town Creek Elementary School- Home of the Terrapins! We are home to approximately 250 students from Kindergarten through Grade 5. We strive to provide an environment conducive to learning in order to maintain high academic achievement for all students. Our goal is to develop life-long learners who are college/career ready. Our students are encouraged to develop healthy habits and lead environmentally conscious lives. As a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) School, we expect our students to be respectful, responsible, and ready to learn. Members of our school community are encouraged to model and reinforce positive school behavior and school character. The staff and I are committed to providing an appropriate learning experience for your child.

How to Know if Your Child is Making Progress; Wednesday, December 2, 2015
The St Mary’s County Public Schools Partners for Success Resource Center for Families and Schools will be presenting a workshop entitled How to Know if Your Child is Making Progress on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Board of Education Meeting Room, 23160 Moakley Street, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
Missy Alexander, Parent Educator with The Parents’ Place of Maryland, will present this workshop that helps families learn how to gather information from special education and general education sources. Families will learn how to use this information to help their child by understanding how to keep track of their progress.
