Message from the Principal
The Forrest Center is getting ready for a great 2010/2011 school year. We are filling classes and making sure everyone is in the program that they requested. We are running a summer Career Connections Camp this year and have four teachers who are providing interesting, hands-on activities for in-coming ninth graders. Our SKILLSUSA students did very well this past year, including National Gold Medals in Crime Scene Investigation and a Silver Medal in Coumpter Aided Drafting. We are very optimistic about this year's activities and competitions. We have revitalized our Building Trades Foundation which will include a parent group to improve communication, fund raise and provide parent input. The Foundation has fifteen new motiviated members who are working on an impressive project. The faculty and staff voted and selected a new logo, school colors, mascot and motto. The colors are black and yellow, the mascot is a bull dog, and the motto is "real world-real work". This will be our first full year with the new logo. Check the system activity calendar and this site for important Forrest Center dates coming up. We are looking foward to a very successful 2010/2011 school year.
