NAOF Check Presentation Aug 2015

Mr. Chris King, Chair of the Professional Advisory Council for the National Academy of Finance program and Financial Advisor for Raley, Watts & O'Neill, presented a check for $10,000 to Mr. Bowling, Ms. Burr (NAOF School Coordinator), and Ms. Baden (NAOF teacher) at the recent Board of Education meeting.  Mr. King worked with Ms. Burr and Ms. Baden to write the request for the $10,000 grant from Mass Mutual.  The funds will be used to finance a trip for some of the NAOF students to travel to New York City and tour the financial district and participate in additional learning opportunities.

The National Academy of Finance provides a pathway to higher education which will lead to employment in the fields of finance, business management, logistics, financial and business law, and international career opportunities.Students enrolled in the National Academy of Finance will experience a challenging academic curriculum which prepares them for college and careers in one of the most lucrative industries in our economy, financial services. Those careers include jobs in the defense industry as well as the private sector with potential salaries ranging from $57,000 - $100,000+ per year
