Welcome G.W. Carver Elementary, home of the Eagles, where students S.O.A.R. At Carver,
we strive to consciously create an inclusive school environment that embodies the characteristics of the school family including empathy, compassion, kindness, accountability, joy and safety. We foster connections and provide well-rounded opportunities for physical, social, emotional and academic success.
We are excited to share our school family information with you. We invite you to read our Smore Newsletter which is filled with Carver and SMCPS information. If we can answer any questions for you or be of assistance please contact the main office at 301-863-4076. We wish you well!!!
Each year we are required to submit an Federal Impact Aid form for every student attending Carver Elementary. We need you as the parent/guardian to complete the forms for your students. We are providing 2 options to you so we can make sure all forms are completed in a timely manner.
Second Option: You may come to the school between the hours of 9 am- 2 pm on Thursday, Jan. 7, Monday, Jan. 11 or Tuesday Jan. 13 to fill out a paper copy of the form.
Masks must be worn when coming to the building. Hand sanitizer must be used. If coming into the building your temperature will be checked.
Please know that this form MUST be filled out and turned in no later than this Friday, January 15. This funding is vital for our school and the programs we are able to provide for our students and families. If you have already submitted your form, we thank you!

- Conscious Discipline Parent Workshop: Parents and community members are invited to participate in a FREE Conscious Discipline virtual workshop being offered by Conscious Discipline Master Instructor Amy Speidel, on Thursday, January 28, 2021, from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. This session focuses on "in the trench" moments that require quick tools, as well as pro-active practices to set families up for success.
