Our Community, Our School
Leonardtown High School is located in St. Mary’s County, “where the Potomac meets the Chesapeake.” As the oldest county in Maryland, St. Mary’s is filled with rich history such as lighthouses, Civil War sites, and monuments commemorating our African-American heritage. Our current population stands strong at 109,000. As a county that supports the U.S. Navy, we continue to have an influx of growth.
Every fall, from the third week of school up to Thanksgiving, LHS hosts over 100 college admission representatives from schools all across the country. A benefit of attending these visits is meeting a college's admission officer for the Maryland area who, in all likelihood, will be the first person to review your application. Your participation indicates your interest in their school and makes a favorable impression when your application is reviewed.
Below is a list of colleges and events that will be visiting Leonardtown during 1 lunch for the remainder of the 2017-2018 academic year.
