Family ID is now open to register for fall cheer!
Cheer conditioning will begin on July 15, 2019. It will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Conditioning is open to anyone who wishes to attend, it is not mandatory but highly recommended. Students must be registered and approved for Fall Cheer on Family ID in order to participate. Please email Coach Traci if there are any questions or concerns.
Below is very important information in order to try out for the 2019 Fall Cheerleading season. Once you have completed and been approved on Family ID, Coach Hazlegrove will receive notification from the Athletic Director. If the participant is not approved on Family ID then they will not be allowed to participate! Please make sure it says approved. On the first day of practice, each student will be given an information packet and forms that must be signed before tryouts on Wednesday. Please read all the paperwork very carefully, especially the Constitution. We want to make you aware of the policy regarding tryouts and evaluations. Tryouts will not be based only on a single score. The coaches will also be looking for participants who take pride and ownership in being an LHS cheerleader. We are looking forward to a season with a talented and respectful squad that is proud to cheer for LHS.
Parents, thank you in advance for supporting your child. We are always looking for parents to volunteer for different things during the season (game day decorations, concession stand, meals before games, homecoming events, fundraisers, house gatherings, etc.) so please let us know if you're able to volunteer some of your time. We look forward to working with you and your child.
You must register on Family ID to even participate at the first conditioning practice. Details are on the LHS website under Athletics. Family ID is now open for registration. For any further questions, please contact our Athletic Director, Randy Tira.

The results will reveal approximately an hour after tryouts are finished. If anyone leaves after their tryout, they should be back at the school by noon for results. Those who make the Varsity Team will need to remain longer in order to be fitted for uniforms.
We will be accepting a max of 24 cheerleaders for the Varsity team and a max of 20 for the JV team. No grandfathering clause is in effect. A position on the squad for the previous school year does not guarantee a position on this squad this year. We will accept rising freshman on the Varsity team.
Do you think you have what it takes to be the next Leonardtown Raider or Raiderette?? We want YOU to be our next MASCOT!!! Leonardtown High School is looking for students that can create excitement and entertain crowds at home football games and other events. This is a great opportunity to perform in front of people, have fun, and help build school spirit! What does it take to make a good mascot? People skills; dance skills (or at least try); the ability to successfully execute high fives, low fives, and fist bumps; and possibly wearing a costume :) You must be willing and able to get the crowd pumped up and into the game. You will be working with the cheer team very closely. Interested? Email any of the coaches for more information.
