The College and Career Readiness Center is a great resource for students and parents to gain information regarding colleges, financial aid, scholarships, ACT/SAT, careers, vocational schools and military opportunities.  I encourage all students to stop by or email to set up an appointment.  The Career Center is also open everyday during B lunch for students.  I look forward to helping all students meet their future goals.

Would you like to earn an extra million dollars?  According to the US Census Bureau, that is the difference in lifetime earnings between a high school graduate and a college graduate.   Navigating through the college process can be a challenge.

The College Access Program (CAP) at Leonardtown High School is designed to work with students, one on one, to achieve their higher education goals.  Weekly sessions for juniors and seniors help students with career choices, college matching, SAT info, scholarships, financial aid information and other topics.   Sessions are held in the College & Career Center during a student’s lunch on Monday for Juniors and on Wednesday for Seniors.  Any student with a 2.5 GPA and above is encouraged to attend.

Scholarships

Scholarships can be found under our new Naviance program the district has introduced this school year.  All students and parents are able to set up an account.  In the beginning of the school year, all parents should have received and email invite to join Naviance.  Once you have set up an account, click on the Colleges tab > Scholarships and Money > Scholarship List for district scholarships.
