Welding students will receive instruction and training to safely develop necessary skills in: sheilded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, flux core arc welding, oxygen fuel welding and cutting and plasma arc cutting. Additionally, in order to prepare students for welding careers, they will receive instruction in computer-aided drafting, blueprint reading, job seeking skills, resume writing skills and related math. Thsi course is based on the national standards of the American Welding Society curriculum. Students will have the opportunity to take the National Welding Certification Exam.
There are no prerequisites required for this program.
This class is a two-year program.

Year 1 = 2 periods
Year 2 = 3 periods
